One of the main goals of the activity of the Research Institute of the Tamaz Beradze Institute of Georgian Studies is the development and implementation of scientific-research programs and projects in Georgian Studies with the involvement of both university academic staff and students.
The aim of the institute is to promote the mutual acquaintance of Georgian scientists working in different countries of the world, to strengthen their cooperation in research, and to plan and organize joint conferences and seminars, which include:
The institute will support the implementation of research in the scientific field of Georgian studies in all scientific fields studying Georgia, such as linguistics, literary studies, art, archeology, folkloristics, ethnography, numismatics, spragistics, history, economics, jurisprudence, philosophy, epigraphy, paleography, source studies, etc. The Institute conducts research on those scientists and institutions that have made a great contribution to the development of Georgian sciences.
The Institute is committed to mobilizing appropriate human and material academic resources for carrying out qualified disciplinary and multidisciplinary scientific-research activities in the field of Georgian studies and ensuring the transfer of research and accumulated knowledge to future generations.
The aim of the institute is to implement short-term (1-year) and long-term (5-year) scientific plans together with partner institutions.
